Adam Revisited is a magnificent water and resin based clay ceramic sculpture. It was inspired by my own response to the events of today in our country. The first rendition is a man with head down and wings wrapped around him like a blanket attempting to console and protect himself.

The next piece is the same male figure, but struggling to open his wings and find himself in all of the chaos. Adam Revisited is the third piece and a representation of all of us and our ability to remake our own humanity for ourselves and each other.

With the third piece, I started with a bare bones piece that I fired in a kiln.

I then added resin clay to give him a more fleshed out sense of the feeling of his ecstasy of finding his own truth. I then gessoed and painted layer after layer of Golden Acrylic paint, much like I would a canvas painting but in 3D. I then coated the piece with a UV protection so the color will not fade.
